Shirley has over fifteen years of experience in counseling clients on intellectual property aspects in corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and financing rounds, as well as complex licensing deals, ranging from platform technologies to pharmaceutical compounds. Having been previously in-house, she also has experience in daily contract work and managing external collaborations. Her work has been in primarily the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
Prior to joining Biospark Intellectual Property Law, Shirley was an associate in the intellectual property transactional groups of two large, international law firms located in New York, in-house at a biotechnology startup in California, and in-house at a consulting firm in its life sciences and healthcare practice.
