Biospark is seeking a CFO or Controller to join its team!
You ideally have:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent credential preferred.
- 10+ years of law firm finance and accounting experience, with several years at the controller or higher level.
- Experience serving as a fractional CFO or Controller is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- The ability to work well with a small, collaborative team.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating the firm’s fiscal function and performance.
- Serving as a strategic financial advisor to firm leadership.
- Developing and maintaining financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning models.
- Analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to forecast and maintain expenditure controls.
- Advising on pricing, profitability, hiring plans, and major business decisions.
- Developing and reviewing monthly financial statements and profitability reports.
- Coordinating with outside accountants, tax advisors, and other financial vendors as needed.
- Working collaboratively with Biospark team members and vendors.
Biospark’s team is mostly virtual and we will entertain resumes from any location in the US. We anticipate this role to require approximately 10–20 flexible working hours per month once onboarded.
